Obviously, I’m better at building things than updating my website!

I can only promise to get better at it.

In my defense, the above is what we moved into 18 months ago! A complete blank slate for the workshop!!! It’s a builder’s dream, until they actually have to start filling the space while working a fulltime job and trying to get orders for their side hustle. Something had to give, which as it turned out, was the website.

I lost count at the number of rolls of insulation it took to fully insulate both levels. Two mini splits installed, a platform lift to bring heavy items upstairs, lumber storage, tool storage, dust collection and upgraded electrical. It has been non-stop! Am I done yet? NOPE! Not a chance.

The Army has a philosophy of “constantly updating your position”, which also plays into what I’m doing. Laser engraving filled the entire garage with smoke, so I built an enclosure and port to get the smoke out. Along the way I finally figured out how to use the CNC machine to carve! Thanks in no small part to Vectric Vcarve. Which then added the issue of sawdust control. Ever feel like you’re chasing your tail? I do!

The inside of the house couldn’t be neglected either. I designed then built my own cabinets for the back of my new bar area. Which included the middle accent section and accent lighting. Heck, I even built the doors! This was my most ambitious build to date. The big box stores sell accent wall sections, which would have been less money and less time, but I wanted this to be 100% custom from top to bottom.
